Suggested Itinerary

Day 02 After breakfast, visit the Abijata-Shalla Lakes National Park very remarkable for its bird life. Then drive back to Addis Ababa visiting on the way the volcanic lakes of Debere-Zeit

TET 121 ABIJATA SHALLA, LANGANO, AWASSA AND WENDOGENET 2NTS/3 DAYS
Day 01 Drive from Addis Ababa to Lake Langano. On the way, visit the first Rift Valley Lake Ziway, 160 km from Addis, very rich in bird life. Proceed to Lake Langano; lunch at Langano. P.M., enjoy swimming and scenic walks. Overnight at Bekele Molla or Wabishebele Hotel.

Day 02 After breakfast, visit the Abijata-Shalla Lakes National Park which shelters a great number of aquatic birds.

Then, proceed “Wendogenet” meaning “the small paradise”, the area is very green and famous for its natural hot springs. After lunch, continue driving to Lake Awassa for an overnight stay. Time to enjoy the beautiful lake outside your hotel.

Day 03 After breakfast, visit the Fish Market and drive back to Addis Ababa. Lunch on the way

TET 122 RIFT VALLEY LAKES UP TO ARBAMINCH4NTS/5DAYS
Day 01 Drive from Addis Ababa to Lake Langano. On the way, visit the first Rift Valley Lake Ziway, 160 km from Addis and rich in bird life. Proceed to Lake Langano; lunch at Langano. P.M., enjoy swimming and walking around. Overnight at Bekele Molla or Wabishebele Hotel.

Day 02 After breakfast, drive to Arba-Minch. Lunch on theway. After lunch continue driving to Arba-Minch through beautiful scenery and the view of Lake Abbaya. O/n Bekele Molla Hotel for two nights.

Day 03 After early breakfast, drive to the Nech Sar National Park (the weather, i.e rain is a determining factor as the road in the park is very difficult). P.M., Boat trip on Lake Chamo to the the "Crocodile Market".

Day 04 Drive from Arbaminch to Awassa. Lunch at Wendogent and late afternoon proceed to Awassa. Rest of the day walk around the lake. Overnight stay.

Day 05 After breakfast, visit the Fish Market and proceed to Addis. On the way, visit the Abijata-Shalla Lakes National Park which shelters a great number of aquatic birds. Lunch en-route and continue driving to Addis Ababa.

TET 123 BALE MOUNTAINS NP/ 2NTS 3 DAYS
Day 01 Drive from Addis Ababa to the South East via Debre-Zeit and Nazareth. Continue driving through the Arsi farm lands till you reach Adaba or Dodola for lunch. After lunch, drive to Dinsho, the headquarters of the Bale Mountains N.P. Walk around in the park to see the endemic Mountain Nayala, the Menelik’s Bush Buck and several bird species. Overnight, at Dinsho in the simple but clean lodge of the national park or drive to Goba (42 km) to stay in hotel Wabishebele for two nights.

Day 02 Early morning drive to The Sanete Plateau until you reach Tullu Dimtu (the Summit of Bale Mountains). You will have the chance to see the endemic Abyssinian Wolf also commonly known as The Simien or Red Jackal. P.M., further visit to Dinsho or stay in Goba.

Day 03 Drive from Goba to Addis Ababa with a lunch box. After lunch, coffee stop at Asela and then continue to Addis to arrive before dusk.

TET 124 BALE MOUNTAINS AND AWASH NP. 4 NTS/5 DAYS

Day 04 Early morning departure to Awash. Lunch at Kereyou Lodge. Late afternoon, game drive in the Park with visit of the majestic Awash River Falls. O/n Kereyou Lodge or Awash Guenet Hotel.

Day 05 Early morning game drive. After breakfast, drive to Awash Hot Springs and continue to Addis Ababa and arrive before dusk.

TET 125 THE HISTORIC ROUTE BY AIR
Day 01 A.M., Fly from Addis Ababa to Bahir Dar. P.M., city tour of Bahir Dar. O/n Tana Hotel for two nights.

Day 02 After breakfast, drive to the Blue Nile Falls 35km per way and walk to the waterfalls. P.M., boat trip on Lake Tana to the church of Ura-Kidane-Mihiret.

Day 03 Fly from Bahir Dar to Gondar. P.M., visit of the 17th century royal castle compound, the bath of King Fasil and the Church of Debre-Brehan-Selassie. O/n Goha Hotel.

Day 04 Fly from Gondar to Lalibela. P.M., visit of the 1st group of the 11 rock hewn churches. O/n Roha Hotel for two nights.

Day 05 A.M., an excursion by mule to the church of Asheten-Maria or Neakuto Leab. P.M., visit of the 2nd group of the rock hewn churches.

Day 06 Fly from Lalibela to Axum, the holiest sanctuary of Ethiopia. P.M., city tour of Axum. O/n Yeha Hotel.

Day 07 Fly back to Addis Ababa.

TET 126 HARAR AND DIRE DAWA BY AIR
Day 01 Fly from Addis Ababa to Dire Dawa and drive directly to Harar. P.M., city tour of Harar. O/n Ras Hotel for two nights.

Day 02 Full day visit of Harar with “the Hyena Man Show” at night.
Day 03 Early morning drive to Dire Dawa and fly back to Addis Ababa

TET 127 HARAR, DIRE DAWA AND AWASH N.P. BY ROAD
Day 01 Drive from Addis Ababa to Awash National Park. O/n Kereyou Lodge.

Day 02 Drive from Awash to Harar through the wonderful scenery of the Amhar Mountains. O/n Harar Ras Hotel for two nights.

Day 03 Full day visit of Harar.

Day 04 Drive to Awash. O/n at Kereyou Lodge or another local hotel at Awash town.
Day 05 Early morning game

Day 03 Drive from Langano to Arbaminch. Visit on the way the Dorze Village of Chencha and proceed to Arbaminch. O/n Bekele Molla Hotel.
Day 04 Full day in Arbaminch, A.M., visit of the Nech-Sar National Park, if the road is OK. P.M., boat trip on Lake Chamo to the "Crocodile Market", where you will see numerous Crocodiles and Hippos. O/n Bekele Molla or Swaynes Hotel.

Day 05 Drive from Arbaminch to Jinka via Konso and Woyito. On the way, at Berhaile/Woyito, you will see the friendly Tribe. Lunch at Woyito. After lunch, proceed to Jinka. O/n Goh Hotel or Jinka Resort.

Day 06 Drive from Jinka to Mago National Park. After lunch at our camp site relax and late afternoon game drive Safari in the Mago National Park. O/n Camping, FB.

Day 07 Drive to the village of the Mursi Tribes the ladies mutilate their lips/wear lip plate/. visit and then drive back to Mago Park. Overnight in tents. FB

Day 08 Drive from Mago to Murule, on the way visit the Karo Duss and Karo Corcho villages. After visit, proceed to Murule. O/n Camping at Murule camp site by the side of The OMO River.

Day 09 Drive from Murule to Turmi via Omorate. On the way, visit the villages of the Gelebe/Dasenech tribes. Lunch at Omorate, then drive to Turmi. O/n Camping at Turmi.

Day 10 After breakfast, drive to Dimeka to visit the beautiful Saturday Market of the Hammer Tribe. Lunch at Dimeka, drive back to Turmi. O/n Camping. FB.

Day 11 Drive from Turmi to Konso. On the way from Turmi, visit the Er-bore tribes. Lunch at Woyito. Then, proceed to Konso. On arrival, visit one Konso Village. O/n camping or local Hotel. FB.

Day 12 Drive from Konso to Wendogenet, the small and green paradise. Here, you can swim in the natural hot water filled pool or take a shower in the open roofed natural hot water bath. Wendogenet is also a nice spot for bird watching. O/n Wabishebele. FB.

Day 13 In the morning, walks around for bird watching. Then, drive to Addis Ababa. Rest of the day city Tour. O/n at your hotel.

Day 14 Full day in Addis Ababa with City tour and then, after dinner transfer to the airport for departure. End of the tour.

TET 129 HISTORIC ROUTE BY Road 13 nights/14days
Day 01 Arrival in Addis Ababa and transfer to your hotel.
Day 02 Drive from Addis Ababa to Debre-Markos, visiting on the way, the Monastery of Debre-Libanos and The Blue Nile Gorge. O/n Shebele Hotel.

TET 130 Trekking in the Simien Mountain
Day 1 After breakfast, drive from Gondar to Sankaber-Jinbar road of the Simien Mountains/The Roof of Africa/ and turn left to start the real trekking. Then, trek to Geech. O/n Camping at Geech camp for two nights.

Day 2 A.M. Trek from Geech to Imet-gogo one of the beautiful sites. P.M., trek around Geech to the sites called Seha'a and Kedadit. O/n Camping Geech.

Day 3 Trek from Geech to Chenek. O/n camping.
Day 4 Trek from Chenek to Ambiko. O/n Camping.

Day 5 Trek from Ambiko to Ras Dashen, the highest peak of the Simien Mountains 4620m ASL. Then back to Ambiko for overnight camping.

Day 6 Trek from Ambiko to Chenek. O/n Camping.

Day 7 Trek from Chenk to Amba-Ras or Sankaber and then pick up by car to drive to Gondar. O/n Gondar.
